AW Crew Earns Silver in Pittsburgh Meet,

Preparing To Compete At Boston Regatta

The Anthony Wayne High School crew participated in the Head of the Ohio Regatta in Pittsburgh last Saturday. 

Matthew Ramlow and Allison Morlock earned a silver medal in the mixed open doubles, and the men’s four boat (Chris Ramlow, Matt Ramlow, Brian Flowers, Nick Gerken and coxswain Andrea Ford) came in ninth out of 27 boats.

The women’s four boat finished 15th out of 26 boats and was comprised of Allison Morlock, Cori Higgins, Erin Higgins, Sarah Levison and Savanna Bales as coxswain.
 

Placing fifth in the men’s novice four were Max Hoeflinger, Chris Reyes, Kyle Pohlman, Zack Wasserman and Ford as coxswain.


The AWHS crew will participate in the Columbus Classic in Westerville, Ohio on Saturday, October 8 and at the Frogtown Races in Toledo the following Saturday.
 

The men’s varsity four team is still seeking support for its trip to Boston to compete in the Head of the Charles Regatta from Friday through Sunday, October 21-23.  Please contact Deb Higgins at (419)877-4747 or David Levison at (419) 877-2769.
