Anthony Wayne Rowing Club is a non profit organization
created to support the Anthony Wayne High School Crew
team. Our team competes in regattas in Ohio and
surrounding states, providing students in the Anthony
Wayne school district with the opportunity to row on
"the mighty Maumee River." We are the only rowing team
operated through a public school in our area and are
funded largely through community donations. We are
recognized organizational members of both the U.S.
Rowing Association and the Midwest Scholastic Rowing
Association. Anthony Wayne High School Crew helps
students in our community develop self-discipline,
patience, independence, punctuality, camaraderie,
physical endurance, competition, and teamwork..

We

Although the crew team is recognized by the Anthony
Wayne Board of Education, we are a self supporting and
self ruling club. We follow the school’s policies
regarding sportsmanship, behavior, and academics to
provide the basis for a well rounded student athletic
experience. Funding to support these extremely
dedicated kids must come from their community through
fundraising events, individual and business sponsors and
grants. Please become a Crew sponsor today! Your

Sponsor names and/or logos can be displayed on the AW
Crew team travel trailer, team tent, or competition
boats. Our team goes to 10 to 14 competitive events
per year (over two seasons.). In Toledo alone, AW Crew
competes at the annual Frogtown Races at international
park where our sponsors advertising can be seen by an
annual average of 950 people. Most races draw crowds
of this size or larger. Take advantage of this
